Royal Credit Union approached us with a familiar ask: promote their certificate of deposit (CD) rates. It’s not the kind of financial product that typically sparks imagination—it’s practical, not aspirational. When we dug deeper, asking what the average return could actually fund, the client answered honestly: “Not a house or a vacation. Just a little extra in your pocket.” That spark of authenticity shifted our perspective—and unlocked the insight we needed. This campaign wasn’t about life-changing sums. It was about the joy of small pleasures in life.

Working closely with the client, we developed a concept that leaned into real life—not fantasies. The campaign, executed across television and out-of-home, featured warm, relatable vignettes of everyday people enjoying life’s “little luxuries”—a super ultra car wash, extra guacamole on your burrito, a small donation to a cause you love. Visually, the creative was designed to feel immediate and human, with a tone that matched the down-to-earth benefit of the product. Internally, our team focused on storytelling and visuals that made these modest moments feel genuinely rewarding. With the client’s input at every step, we built a campaign that invited people to see financial products not as abstract numbers, but as tools to live a bit more freely.
